Why We Forget Most of What We Read

Inspired by an Instagram post created by @getbetterwithbooks.

Do you forget most of what you read?

You're not alone!

One of the main reasons I started creating nudenotes was to improve my retention of the information I was taking in, especially when reading (tip number three on this list).

If you're looking for book recommendations or good techniques and practices for getting the most out of reading time, go check out this feed.

I love the idea of making information you take in 'sticky' and creating nudenotes definitely helps with that for me. Giving me time to process the ideas and doodle the information down on the page in my own words.

It's the same principle as the time you're in school, learning spelling: Look. Cover. Copy.
Take in the information, process and express the information in a new way.

What tips and tricks do you having for 'sticky' reading?
Let me know in the comments below.

nudenotes work for me - I have journals full of information, it's like a mini library created just for me of all the things I find interesting!

Stay tuned for more of my favourite IG posts and accounts in the future.
