Game of Thrones x nudenotes

Reading time: 1 min

In celebration of the final season of Game of Thrones and 10 years of amazing television, I've created a series of GoT-themed nudenotes, which I've been posting to my Instagram feed.

In the name of the gods old and new, I present to you my collection of Game of Thrones nudenotes, with a few bonus ones thrown in.

I don’t think there are any major spoilers in here for those who haven't seen the show, but here's your warning, just in case! For the night is dark and full of spoilers.

Game of Thrones Architecture (mainly castles), inspired by illustration diagrams from angieslist.com

Do you know Harrenhal from Highgarden, or The Eyrie from Pyke?

Hopefully, these illustrations will help you understand which castle is which, although there aren't many of them left now!

BONUS: Game of Thrones Architecture (mainly castles)

Your first bonus set of nudenotes, some more castle drawings.

Do you know a Tulley from a Tyrell?

Here are sketchnotes of the eight major houses in Game of Thrones.

Hopefully they’ll help you navigate their strange, interconnecting, often incestuous family trees.

There are some cool Easter eggs in here, for example, Olenna Tyrell was not born a Tyrell, she was a Redwyne, and Oberyn Martell has eight bastard sand snake daughters!

Want to know more about Game of Thrones history and lore?

No need to stare into the flames for answers like Melisandre - just check out these nudenotes for a quick timeline overview of the past 13,000 years, covering rulers and major events.

Massive thanks to Madalena Maslowska on hauteslides.com for inspiring the layout and content.

It must’ve taken an age to juggle all this into a sleek infographic.

BONUS: Game of Thrones: Sex to Death inspired by an infographic from dailydot.com

“There’s also a whole lot of death, violence, and murder, maybe even more so, in fact. But how much more? Are characters as sexually ravenous as they are vicious? Which houses (Tyrell, Lannister, Targaryen, Stark) are most rampant—both in and out of the bedroom?”

This nudenote is particularly interesting, as it shows how many times a character has 'lain with another character' against how many times that character has taken the lives of others.

I learned a valuable lesson whilst doing this nudenote: read the entire article before making the notes.

I was about three quarters of the way through before I realised that the data is only up to episode 7 of season 4.

Shame! Shame! Shame!

Maybe the drowned god will bless us with an updated version in the future.

Worked up a thirst watching Game of Thrones?

What you need is a refreshing cocktail!

How about one of these amazing drinks?

Although I’m not sure about Valar Morguinness...

It's a Bloody Bastard for me, cheers!

Thanks to Buzzfeed for the inspiration on these notes, they'll make an excellent addition to my Sketchnote Cookbook - there's definitely scope for more cocktail-based nudenotes, so stay tuned.

When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die.

I present, in the light of the seven, my notes on a fabulously geeky study published in Injury Epidemiology, as they dive deep into the mortality rates of the show pre-season 8.

You can read the full study here.

Map of Westeros
I wish I looked over a map of Westeros earlier in the series, it's so useful to know how far key places are from each other.

I can't believe that Dragonstone is so close to King's Landing!

I hope you all enjoyed these Game of Thrones x nudenotes.

I plan on doing more nerdy notes like this in the future, so stay tuned, geeky creatives!

Valar Morghulis.
