Why Organisations Don’t Learn
Inspired by a Harvard Business Review Article, discovered on Tanmay Vora’s blog.
Why organisation don't learn?
Find yourself making the same mistakes over and over at work? Not learning from mistakes can damage your business and brand in the long term.
As Harvard Business Review said in their article:
"It may be cheaper and easier in the short run to ignore failures, schedule work so that there’s no time for reflection, require compliance with organizational norms, and turn to experts for quick solutions. But these short-term approaches will limit the organization’s ability to learn."
I agree with Tanmay when he said culture is the key to how organisations learn and turn that knowledge into meaningful results.
You can invest all the money in the world in tools and processes, but if individuals are not empowered to share knowledge without fear. Nothing will ever change!
How will you unleash the power of learning in your organisation?
