Anger Volcano

Inspired by an infographic created by Unknown, I came across this on Pinterest.

Do you struggle with anger?

I feel we all do at one point or another, when everything just builds up around you, we can all snap, or erupt right?

This framework was originally intended for children, but I still found it super interested.

After all, we are all just big kids, right?
I still found the ideas in the infographic fascinating and insightful.

I couldn't find out the creator of the infographic, but there are loads of versions online.

Understanding that anger is neither a positive nor negative emotion, is the key.

Anger is a secondary emotion, often coming from underlying feelings and thoughts.
It's important before you erupt in anger to think about what's behind it and where it comes from.

These underlying emotions fuel the eruption, and if not controlled can become violent or abusive.

Just like lava in a volcano that leads to building an island, anger indicates something is wrong, and you're trying to fix it in some way.

Understanding where your own, and other peoples, anger comes from is the best way to relieve the pressure and possibly stop a full-blown eruption.

Remember the old Star Wars mantra:
"Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering... this is the path to the Dark Side."

Time to master your inner anger volcano!
