6 Signs Your Company Has Damaged Culture
Inspired by an infographic created by @taskworld.
Does your company have a damaged culture?
How would you even know?
Every company strives for a happy, nurturing and effective workplace culture, but few companies get there.
It's not possible to have a company without a culture, whether you know it or not. If you don't create it or lead by example - it will form without you.
It'll end up being haphazard and possibly damaged. It's never too late to fix these issues, but first we must spot them. Here's 6 to watch out for:
1. Top Down Management: Boss doesn't listen, just directs.
2. Working Alone: It disconnects you from the team and collaborative thinking.
3. Information Hoarding: This comes from fear of being replaced.
4. Focus on Blame: Ignoring solution based thinking.
5. Hiding Opportunities: Hide problems, turn away from something wrong - stops continuous improvement.
6. Applauding the Status Quo: Afraid to fail, don't push for something new or improvement.
I hope these help highlight potential problems in your own culture and push towards a culture which is happier, nurturing and effective for all your employees.
